Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as ECR, which is a priority in providing ethical care
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and medical protocols, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely taking into account all infection control measures.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse patient populations
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while ensuring compliance with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards for accurate medical documentation.
- Support discharge planning, case management activities, and post-acute care transitions to promote optimal recovery outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience working in various healthcare environments
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology concepts, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures like suturing or gastric lavage is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
- Additional qualifications include basic life support certification (BLS), proficiency in phlebotomy and injection administration, and familiarity with infection control protocols.
