Role Summary
Outpost Mission Services is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with a proven track record of managing field services projects globally. The ideal candidate will oversee the execution of complex projects within federal and defense sectors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.
The Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in supporting Outpost Mission Services’ global installation and field service operations. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing multi-country radome and radar system service projects within federal, commercial, and defense sectors. The Project Manager ensures successful delivery by managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, compliance, and field resources while maintaining strong communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams. This role requires a seasoned professional who thrives in fast‑paced, complex environments and ensures each project aligns with Outpost Mission Services’ commitment to safety, quality, and mission success. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple federal, commercial, and defense field service projects and programs from award through completion.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies to ensure efficiency, cost control, and risk mitigation.
- Assist in developing project cost estimates for quoting work.
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources to meet performance objectives.
- Maintain compliance with government regulations, defense standards, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Provide strategic leadership in managing risks and resolving project challenges in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and industry-standard project management frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience managing federal, commercial, and defense field services projects globally.
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), defense contracting, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for large-scale projects.
- Ability to manage and lead diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with government officials, contractors, and senior executives.
- Ability to pass background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS), or other federal agencies.
- PMP certification
- Security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Background in logistics, engineering, or technical field services.
- Experience with international project deployments and managing multi-country operations.
