The Department of Pathology is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician I to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection, and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy: labeling specimens, telephone inquiries, and distribution of phlebotomy supplies. This position is 100% time, Monday – Friday, 1st shift from 0930-1800 with no weekends or holidays.
Duties to include:
· Performs phlebotomy draws.
· Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required.
· Orders, receives, and distributes supplies.
· Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represents assigned and related work areas.
· Administer select medications as designated per protocol.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
· High school graduation or equivalent.
Special Qualifications (if appropriate):
· Previous public contact/customer service experience
Desirable Qualifications:
· Completion of a phlebotomy training program or previous phlebotomy experience is desirable.
· Minimum 6 months previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable.
· Basic computer skills are desirable.
· Previous experience with Personal Protective Equipment is desirable.
· Previous patient contact experience is desirable.
