We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team to provide home health and outpatient therapy in the patient's home. Work close to home - your patients will all be within a set distance from your location. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings including outpatient and home health care. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for implementing the care plan developed by the OT at the evaluation to improve the patient's overall health and mobility.
Duties
- Implement personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and wellness strategies.
- Demonstrate appropriate, concise documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care.
- Experience in outpatient therapy or home health is preferred.
- Ability to implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation purposes.
