As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a Head of Cold Rolling Works (CRW) to be part of our CRW operations team in Calvert, AL.

In this role, you will be leading and managing all operations within the Cold Rolling Works (CRW) section of the stainless steel plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality stainless steel products. You will be expected to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with business objectives.

The Americas is headquartered in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama; home to one of the most technically advanced integrated stainless-steel mill in the United States. Additionally, Outokumpu business area Americas has a commercial office in Brazil.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in stainless steel or metal rolling operations, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in delivering against stated KPI’s
- Strong knowledge of cold rolling processes, annealing, pickling, and finishing operations.
- Proven track record in operational excellence, cost optimization, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.

Some key activities you will be responsible for:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Cold Rolling Works, including rolling mills, annealing, pickling, and finishing lines.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize throughput, reduce costs, and improve yield.
- Align CRW operations with overall plant and corporate objectives.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and operators.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
- Implement best practices for equipment reliability and preventive maintenance.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with metallurgical specifications and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality and R&D teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
Budget & Cost Control
- Manage operational budgets, monitor KPIs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion health, safety, and environmental standards across CRW operations.

Salary Range: $157,600 to $216,700
