OVERVIEW | EVENT COORDINATOR
We’re looking for an engaging Event Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer Program for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G.

As the Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution and management of the volunteer program across the event. In addition to serving as the main contact for 700 volunteers, you will support several areas of the LPGA tournament including hotel partnerships, merchandise and more. RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES
- Serve as main contact for 700 event volunteers
- Manage recruitment and coordination of volunteers as well as the online volunteer database for scheduling management and communication plans
- Serve as a liaison between event staff and volunteer leadership team
- Oversee the ordering and fulfillment processes for all tournament merchandise
- During event week, oversee Volunteer Headquarters, including the food and beverage experience and volunteer services, and ensure volunteers are transported (if needed) to their respective on-course posts
- Manage the volunteer uniform distribution event and all appreciation initiatives
- Assist with the tournament’s player housing program, including communication with players, residents and the volunteer chair
- Serve as a liaison between event staff and hotel partners, managing room blocks and reservations for event week
- Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years’ experience in events, communications or business
- Previous volunteer experience a plus
- Polished communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong ability to demonstrate initiative, solve problems and work effectively under pressure while working as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
- Collaborative in nature with “no job is too small” mentality
- Willingness to work weekends and nonstandard hours
- Must be available to work full time in our Rogers, Arkansas office
