We are seeking a reliable and motivated Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service while ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install new irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and drip irrigation.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, broken sprinkler heads, valves, wiring, and controllers.
- Perform seasonal system startups, winterizations (if applicable), and routine maintenance.
- Program and troubleshoot irrigation controllers and smart irrigation systems.
- Inspect systems to ensure proper coverage, efficiency, and water conservation.
- Locate and repair damaged irrigation lines.
- Communicate with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and system operation.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
- Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience with irrigation installation and repair preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of sprinkler systems, valves, controllers, pumps, and drip irrigation.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
