Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Groundskeeper role based in Melrose, FL. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, edging, raking, and clearing debris to keep lawns, pathways, and common areas clean and presentable. Daily tasks may include pruning shrubs, maintaining all areas of the property, and assisting with basic landscaping projects or seasonal cleanup. The role also involves routine upkeep to the property and buildings, such as trash removal, cleaning outdoor surfaces, checking for safety hazards, and reporting maintenance needs. Another responsibility for this position is to clean and detail the boats before the customer picks it up. The Groundskeeper may assist with light repairs to outdoor fixtures and equipment, and will use hand tools, power equipment, and safety gear in accordance with company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience with basic grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, raking, and organizing and cleaning.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain common landscaping equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools).
- General knowledge of lawn care, including pruning, weeding, and basic landscaping practices.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to keeping outdoor spaces clean, orderly, and safe.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to use appropriate protective equipment.
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Melrose, FL worksite is required.
- Applicants must be able to pass a drug test, and work in a drug free enviroment.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
