Position Overview
The Regional Director of Therapy provides strategic and operational leadership for therapy services across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
This role is responsible for driving clinical outcomes, financial performance, compliance, and team development within an in-house therapy model.
You will serve as a key leader partnering with facility administrators, DONs, and therapy teams to ensure programs are operating at the top of license and top of skill.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of therapy operations across multiple SNF locations
- Drive clinical excellence through Section GG outcomes, quality measures, and best practices
- Monitor and improve PDPM performance, CMI optimization, and reimbursement accuracy
- Lead and mentor Directors of Rehab (DORs) and therapy teams
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory standards
- Partner with facility leadership to align therapy with overall operational goals
- Analyze KPIs, identify trends, and implement performance improvement strategies
- Support program development (e.g., specialty programs, restorative integration, group utilization)
- Assist with onboarding, training, and retention of therapy staff
- Licensed PT, PTA, OT, OTA, or SLP (required); Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathologist
- Multi-site therapy management experience in SNF setting (required)
- Strong knowledge of PDPM, Medicare Part A & B, and rehab compliance
- Proven ability to drive both clinical and financial outcomes
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- Strong communication and leadership presence with executive-level thinking
- Ability to travel within the Missouri region
