This is a working supervisor position responsible for leading the maintenance team while actively performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on maintenance experience, HVAC knowledge, and a commitment to providing a safe, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations throughout the facility
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, heating, cooling, and building systems
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, life safety requirements, and building codes
- Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and hazard-free environment for residents and staff
- Execute and document preventive maintenance programs and inspections
- Lead, train, schedule, and supervise Environmental Services personnel
- Monitor departmental performance, productivity, and budget controls
- Resolve operational and personnel issues professionally and efficiently
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across all departments
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and replacement parts
- Process and maintain records for accounts payable, supplies, equipment maintenance, and department operations
- Track fuel supplies and facility equipment history
- Assist with regulatory surveys and life safety compliance activities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents, nursing staff, physicians, department leaders, and visitors
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for facility improvements and service excellence
- Support infection prevention initiatives and environmental safety standards
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience required
- HVAC experience required
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Long-term care, skilled nursing facility, healthcare, hospital, or senior living maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating, cooling, and building systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to emergencies as needed
