As an Engineering Technician, you'll support products from concept through production while working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support product development projects from initial concept through production release.
  • Create, modify, and maintain detailed part, assembly, tooling, and fixture designs using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Develop engineering drawings utilizing GD&T principles to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability.
  • Design and build jigs, fixtures, and tooling that improve safety, efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
  • Evaluate designs and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in prototype and production environments and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and lead corrective action efforts.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, specifications, engineering documentation, and visual aids.
  • Maintain engineering and production data within the ERP system (Epicor).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to balance customer requirements, product quality, manufacturability, and cost objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and implementation activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production personnel and team members.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll make a measurable impact by:

  • Launching products efficiently and accurately into production
  • Improving manufacturing processes and workflow efficiency
  • Reducing production issues through effective problem-solving
  • Designing tooling and fixtures that improve safety and quality
  • Supporting projects that reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction
  • Contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5–7 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product development, or a related technical environment.
  • Experience independently managing technical projects and priorities.
  • Strong background in fabrication, machining, manufacturing, or industrial processes.
  • Experience with textiles, sewn products, or soft goods manufacturing is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced CAD proficiency, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to create detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other engineering software tools.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

  • Enjoys solving complex technical challenges.
  • Takes ownership of projects and follows them through to completion.
  • Thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
