Outdoor Retail Sales Specialist: $42,000 Base Salary + Commission

OUTDOORICA is a family-owned and operated outdoor retail store located in Albany, MN. We specialize in e-bikes, UTVs, ATVs, lawnmowers, handheld tools, robotic mowers, saunas, deer hunting blinds, skid steer attachments, and Ice Castle brand fish houses. Serving outdoor and powersports enthusiasts both in-store and online, we are committed to providing high-quality gear and exceptional customer service in a fun, engaging environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Outdoor Retail Sales Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for the outdoors, and the ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role involves engaging with customers, driving product sales, and supporting both in-store and online operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and financing options.
• Learn and maintain product knowledge across all categories — powersports, lawn care, saunas, and more.
• Upsell products, accessories, and extended warranties to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Process transactions accurately and handle customer orders efficiently.
• Support online sales through e-commerce order fulfillment and customer communication.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom.
• Assist with promotional events and marketing efforts, including social media engagement.
• Work collaboratively with management and team members to meet and exceed sales goals.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for the outdoors and related products.
• Ability to learn technical product information and explain it to customers.
• Sales experience selling large-ticket consumer-oriented products is preferred.
• Proven ability to upsell accessories, service packages, or warranties.
• Availability for 40–45 hours per week, including every other Saturday.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs as needed.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in powersports, outdoor retail, or similar industries.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or POS systems.
• Social media or digital marketing experience.
• Forklift operation (or willingness to learn).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
• Every Other Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Closed Sundays.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary starting at $42,000.00 annually, plus bi-weekly commission.
• 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) to start, with 1 additional day earned for each year of employment.
