Nursery Assistant and Laborer

Our team at Outdoor Warehouse Supply Lewisville is seeking a nursery assistant for our nursery department. Join an enthusiastic team in the landscape supply industry!

Regular Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Promptly receive plant orders from vendors. This includes unloading trucks, watering incoming plants, and merchandising them in an organized manner.

• Pick, stage, and load customer plant orders.

• Conduct supplemental hand watering of plants based on nursery managers' direction.

• Perform property maintenance in the nursery, including general landscaping and upkeep of the grounds.

• Monitor plant health and report any issues to the nursery manager.

• Reorganize and move plants based on season and weather conditions to ensure optimal care and display.

• Assisting customers, especially regarding loading orders for plants, mulch, and hardscape materials.

• Must be able to lift and maneuver 50lbs regularly.

• Must be able to consistently bend, reach, kneel, and squat while performing tasks.

• Ability to work in environmental conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc).

• Assisting the nursery manager and branch manager with any other tasks that may arise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. (Preferred)

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Dependable and responsible self-motivator who can communicate and carry out instructions.

• Forklift experience is a plus

• Bi-lingual is a plus

Compensation

• $15.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience.

• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:30 am-5:00 pm with opportunity for full time employment depending upon performance.
