What are the responsibilities and job description for the ATV Build Technician position at Outdoor Toys and Accessories?
The ATV Assembly Technician is responsible for the professional assembly, setup, inspection, and pre-delivery preparation of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), dirt bikes, go-karts, scooters, and other powersports equipment. This position ensures that all units are safely and correctly assembled to manufacturer specifications before being delivered to the customer. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering quality work that supports the dealership’s reputation for excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble new ATVs, UTVs, scooters, dirt bikes, and go-karts according to factory specifications and safety standards.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to verify that all components are properly installed, torqued, and adjusted.
- Check electrical connections, tire pressure, fluid levels, chain tension, and overall functionality of assembled units.
- Diagnose and correct minor mechanical or cosmetic issues during setup or inspection.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and parts are properly stored.
- Communicate with service advisors and management regarding unit status, parts needs, and quality control.
- Assist with loading/unloading units, performing test rides when necessary, and supporting general shop duties.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to dealership and manufacturer policies.
