Outdoor Sports Center is a family-run outdoor retail store serving Wilton and surrounding communities since 1966. We’re passionate about the outdoors and committed to creating a smooth, welcoming experience for every customer. We’re hiring a Ski Rental Host to greet customers, manage appointment flow, and help coordinate the rental and ski floor during our busiest season.
Position Details
Employment Type: Full Time
Reporting to: Store Manager
Job Location: On-site—Wilton, CT
Schedule: Must be available to work weekends
The Ski Rental Host is the front-line contact for our rental and fitting program. You’ll greet customers, manage appointments, and connect each one with the right staff member at the right time—creating a great first impression and keeping our high-traffic floor running efficiently.

◾ Clear communicator with both customers and coworkers
◾ Interest in skiing or snowboarding is a plus
Key Responsibilities
◾ Greet rental and ski customers and guide them through the process
◾ Manage the appointment calendar, walk-in flow, and staff assignments
◾ Coordinate floor traffic and maintain timing during peak hours
◾ Answer phones and assist with scheduling and general inquiries
◾ Keep the front-of-house area clean, organized, and welcoming
Required Skills & Experience
◾ Customer service, front desk, or reception experience preferred
◾ Comfortable using or learning scheduling tools (training provided)
◾ Dependable, punctual, and able to stay organized under pressure
◾ Must be available weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal periods
◾ Able to stand and move throughout the floor for extended shifts
