Job Description
Cardinal Rental & Sales is looking for a full-time Equipment Check-In Associate to help inspect, clean, and process returned rental equipment.
This position plays an important role in keeping our rental fleet organized, clean, safe, and ready for the next customer. The right person will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working outside, and willing to stay busy in a hands-on equipment environment.
This is a good fit for someone who likes physical work, takes pride in doing things right, and can spot problems before they turn into bigger issues.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Check in returned rental equipment
- Inspect equipment for damage, missing parts, cleanliness, and fuel levels
- Document and communicate any problems to the service or rental team
- Clean and prepare equipment for the next rental
- Help keep the yard, check-in area, and equipment lot organized
- Move equipment safely around the property
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed
- Help identify equipment that needs service, repairs, or additional attention
- Follow company safety procedures
- Assist with other yard, lot, and rental support duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to handle a physical workload
- Dependable and deadline-oriented
- Comfortable working outside in different weather conditions
- Able to follow instructions and communicate clearly
- Equipment, trailer, or forklift experience is a plus, but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to working safely and following procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Self-starter who can stay productive without constant supervision
- Willingness to learn equipment, safety procedures, and company processes
- Basic mechanical awareness is helpful, but not required
Schedule
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: As needed, 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
- 8-hour shift
- Full-time position
