What You'll Do
- Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and residential irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoot sprinkler heads, valves, wiring, 2-wire decoders systems, controllers, pumps, and electrical components.
- Program and manage smart irrigation controllers, including Hydrawise systems.
- Identify coverage deficiencies and make recommendations to improve system performance and plant health.
- Perform spring startups, seasonal adjustments, winterizations, and system inspections.
- Read irrigation plans and layouts while accurately locating and repairing underground components.
- Operate equipment including mini excavators, trenchers, vibratory plows, and other installation equipment.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings with management and clients.
- Serve as Outdoor Digs' eyes and ears in the field by identifying landscape issues that impact irrigation performance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience installing and servicing irrigation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical components, wiring, valves, and controllers.
- Experience with Hydrawise, decoder systems, or other smart irrigation technology is highly preferred.
- Ability to read irrigation plans and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of plant water requirements, soils, and irrigation best practices.
- Comfortable operating power equipment and construction tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
