Outdoor Craftsmen has an exciting opportunity for an experienced account manager. This team leader will help grow a self-sustaining Landscape Maintenance Division with career growth opportunity.

Position Overview

  • Responsible for the overall success of assigned landscape maintenance accounts including client satisfaction, retention, property quality, and revenue growth.
  • Serves as the primary client contact and liaison between clients, field teams, and internal departments.
  • Ensure properties are maintained to company standards while identifying enhancement opportunities.
  • During the winter months the job includes snow services support. This may include site measurements, crew dispatching, quality control and helping field staff if needed.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Build trust and strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication.
  • Conduct scheduled property walkthroughs with clients.
  • Provide biweekly email recaps and maintain consistent client communication.
  • Drive contract renewals and client retention (target 95% retention).

Property Quality & Field Oversight

  • Perform routine site inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Develop punch lists and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure horticultural best practices are followed.
  • Maintain overall landscape health, aesthetics, and irrigation performance.

Enhancement Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify and recommend landscape enhancements (mulch, seasonal color, pruning, irrigation upgrades, planting).
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, and scopes of work.
  • Present and close enhancement opportunities.
  • Target growth of maintenance accounts through upselling, measured through KPI on book value
  • Coordinate execution of sold work with production teams.

Production & Operations Coordination

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with client expectations and company standards.
  • Monitor job costs and report deviations to Division Manager.
  • Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors as needed.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Support crew leaders and field staff.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Promote company safety standards, accountability, and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with account managers, field managers and division managers to develop and grow the division

Financial & Account Management

  • Manage account budgets and ensure profitability.
  • Ensure contract compliance and scope delivery.
  • Client invoicing and accuracy, answer client invoicing inquiries
  • Meet or exceed revenue and profit targets.

Key Performance Metrics

  • Client retention.
  • Enhancement revenue growth.
  • Account profitability.
  • Quality control scores.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in landscape maintenance or related field.
  • 2 years in client-facing or account management role.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture and irrigation systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish,
  • Experience with CRM/management software, background in Aspire a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $65,000 – $80,000 (DOE).
  • Enhancement/Special Project sales commissions.
