Billing and Collections Specialist

About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing and Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves interacting with current members about billing concerns, resolving discrepancies, and supporting financial operations. Success in this position depends on critical thinking, fast problem-solving, and a passion for organization and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Make collection calls and send correspondence in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- Provide excellent customer service for billing issues, process payments, issue refunds, and review account adjustments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
- Accountable for reducing delinquency
- Report discrepancies to management to reduce delinquency and resolve disputes
- Provide excellent customer service regarding billing inquiries
- Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor
- High volume phone calls to and from delinquent customers
- Communicate effectively with customers over the phone to address billing issues
- Reconcile member disputes related to outstanding balances
- Internal and external customer interface
- Meet defined department goals and activity metrics
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent and at least 1 year of customer service experience (hotel/resort guest service experience is a plus) is required for candidates to be considered for this position
- Concord (formerly Equiant) software platform experience is a huge plus
- Five9 experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be self-motivated and use time wisely
