What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist for Surgical Hospital - PRN/Part-time position at Outcomes Therapy Services, PLLC?
Outcomes Therapy at Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital
Looking for a charismatic qualified physical therapist that can be flexible with inpatient post-operative orthopedic surgical patients coming onto the floor for PT evaluation to ensure the patient is safe and mobile. Some patients stay overnight and may need additional visits, determined by the physical therapist. This is an opportunity to work closely with case managers and RNs to assist patients acutely post-op for a variety of orthopedic surgery cases including:
- Spinal surgery (cervical, lumbar, fusions, etc)
- Total Joint Replacements (TKA, THA, TSA, rTSA, and foot/ankle)
The PT will determine the level of care while the patient is in the hospital based on their evaluation. The hours will vary depending on the PT's determination of LOC and cases on a given week.
This is a great opportunity for a PT wanting something on the side after going into your regular position or someone looking for something part-time.
The following are the typical hours (variable based on your availability):
Monday: After 3pm
Tuesday - Friday: Before 10am, after 3pm
Saturday: Rarely requested
These are split shifts, so either take both mornings and evenings, or we do currently have assistance for mornings, so if you're looking for some after hours work, seeing 2 patients that's fine too. The owner of Outcomes is just needing some help! :)
The heaviest days are Monday evening through Thursday morning, and fewer surgeries are typically scheduled Thursday evening and Friday. Occasionally there will be an evaluation or treatment needed over the weekend, but it is not required for the PT to cover those each weekend. Weekend rates are $85/hour if the PT chooses to cover.
Hours per week range from 10-20 hours, however could be more depending on cases. We always have another PT on standby should you need some assistance with the caseload.
Reimbursement for this position is $65/hour and training will be provided.
