Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals in need from 8:00am-4:00pm Mon-Fri. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, offer emotional support, and ensure the well-being of our clients.
Duties
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in a residential setting
- Assist with meal preparation and shopping as needed
- Monitor and record patient behaviors and activities
- Help with patient hygiene tasks such as bathing, toileting, & dressing
- Support patients in recreational activities and social interactions
-Assist with observation and monitoring of medication management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals & schedule appointments to ensure the best care for patients
Requirements
- 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques
- Ability to cook meals for individuals with specific dietary needs
- Proficient in patient monitoring, observation, and reporting
- Familiarity with direct support practices
- Capable of making sound decisions and remaining calm during a conflict or crisis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
