Job Overview
Out on a Limb Tree Co. is a growing local tree service looking for a reliable ground crew member. Part-time to start, with more hours likely as the business grows.
Duties
- Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using appropriate tools such as chainsaws and rigging equipment
- Support arborists with rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or trees
- Follow strict safety protocols during all outdoor activities to ensure a secure work environment
- Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, wood chipper, and rigging gear in good working condition
- Run the chipper and clear brush/limbs
- Drag and haul cut wood/debris
- Assist with rigging and act as ground spotter while the climber's working
- General site cleanup so jobs finish looking sharp
Requirements
- Comfortable and safe around a running chipper
- Able to handle a full day of physical outdoor work, in all seasons
- Reliable — shows up on time, ready to work
- Chainsaw experience or tree work background a plus, not required
- Must have reliable transportation to job sites
Pay based on experience, hourly, W-2. Flexible scheduling based on job bookings — good fit for steady side work or growing into more hours.
