Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned contractor and homeowner accounts from initial estimate through completion and collection. This role ensures that every project is executed with accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards, while building strong client relationships and maintaining safe business practices.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and maintain relationships with assigned contractor and homeowner accounts, with a focus on contractor repeat business.
- Oversee projects from estimate to completion, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Prepare accurate cut-lists that meet minimum scheduling standards for each project size.
- Coordinate with the Purchaser to order specialty finishes, accessories, and other custom items.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance department to review pricing, layouts, and design accuracy.
- Enforce safe business practices, including securing deposits, obtaining signatures, and filing liens when applicable.
- Provide timely status updates to the Schedule Coordinator to keep projects on track.
- Participate in sales forecasting by tracking account activity and identifying upcoming opportunities.
- Use company tools and systems to accurately track and record all project details.
- Conduct job site visits to verify quality, completion, and readiness for invoicing.
- Support team needs and company goals as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- 3 – 5 years in cabinetry, countertop, or related industry required.
- Prior project management experience in cabinetry and/or granite industry preferred.
- Proven ability to manage relationships and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making skills with the confidence to handle challenges directly.
- Knowledge of company systems, processes, and project timelines.
- Proficiency in Cabinet Vision software, Microsoft Office, and professional email communication.
- Strong math skills and ability to interpret 2D drawings into 3D concepts.
- Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- High attention to detail in pricing and layout reviews.
What You Will Experience:
- Office and field environments, including visits to customer sites, trade shows, and vendor locations.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction environments.
- Physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs., and potentially up to 50 lbs.
- A mix of office and field work, interacting with contractors, customers, and internal teams.
- Visits to customer locations throughout the year, sometimes requiring air or automobile travel.
- Field conditions may involve exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise, but safety is a priority; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided by the company and is to be worn when visiting workshops and job sites.
