As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)
• Help clients get into the community and stay engaged
• Follow care plans and goals
• Communicate with families and your team
• Complete notes and documentation 
• Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Clients Needing Support:

Client 1:

• Female | 13yrs | 97210
• Schedule: Mon -Thur 2:30 pm- 6:00 pm, Fri from 12:00 pm-6:00pm 
• Likes: Helping her mom and dad, cooking is important to her, she likes making toast and smoothies, likes music, singing, eating, playing piano, choir, playing soccer, and biking. Likes baby dolls and can dress them, she is always on the go 
• Needs: She needs to be prepared for transition, she needs a lot of structure, and routines to feel regulated. Would like to be busy and participate in extracurriculars. She benefits for visual schedules and really needs to know what is next. She likes to participate in making the schedule and choices are important to her. 

Client 2:

• Male | 20yrs | 97229
• Schedule: Fri- Sun 5:00 pm-9:30 pm
• Likes: Loves being around people and enjoys community outings and getting out of the house. Thrives with routines and visual schedules 
• Needs: Supporting client with personal care, meals, toileting, and hygiene. Encouraging  independence during meals and daily living skills. 

Client 3:

• Male | 18yrs | 97229
• Schedule: Mornings 5:30 am-8:30 am (possibility of after school hours for Tue- Thur if it works for both parties 
• Likes: Computer games, his peers, and social activities 
• Needs: Tell client ahead of time about any and all transitions, he likes to be informed what is going to happen next, must build trust with client, must be reliable and consistent 

Client 4: 

• Male | 18yrs | 97229
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, & Sundays, Hours TBD
• Likes: Always energetic, always on the go, loves bowling, sports, parks, community outings
• Needs: Supporting the client during fun community outings, like bowling, parks, and recreational activities, helping the client build independence with daily living skills, including dressing, hygiene, household chores and meal routines

Requirements

• 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of caregiving or related experience
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
• Smartphone required
• Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.
• CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)

Pay & Benefits
