Director of Nursing - Home Health

The Director of Nursing will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all the clinical services provided by OurKansas Guardian Home Health. The director will educate and inform all staff about home health statutes and administrative rules.

Position Requirements:

• MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR of Director of Nursing experience preferred in home health care.
• MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR OF OASIS experience in home health care.
• Ability to learn, assimilate and apply principles of current health care practice.
• Ability to organize work procedures, assume responsibility and effectively supervise others.
• Possesses excellent problem-solving techniques and abilities.
• Be knowledgeable of the statutory and administrative rules of State and Federal Agencies.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR card.

Job Responisibilities but not limited to:

• Organizes and directs the local home health agency office.
• Particiaptes in the highering process as well as educates, and evaluates all medical staff.
• Maintains schedules for the nursing staff.
• Able to communicate with physicians.
• Informs staff about home health statutes and administrative rules
• Implements administrative policies and procedures relating to Agency activities.
• Responsible for the daily operation of the Agency programs as set forth in the state regulation and policies of the agency.
• Directs installation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure achievement of objectives of the Agency.
• Implements standards and methods for measurement of effectiveness of Agency activities
• Reports to the governing Body Regarding Changes that affect the Agency
• Maintains confidentiality of Patient and Agency matters.
• Ensures that all staff is adequately orientated to the Agency prior to patient contact.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
