OurEnergy, LLC is rapidly evolving from a boutique engineering consulting and development services firm to a prime contractor and full developer of renewable energy infrastructure projects for municipal, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale installations.
We seek a skilled and experienced Senior Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) Project Manager as a team lead for project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, including overseeing client-facing and cross-functional team communications and deliverables. The role is additionally responsible for managing timely and accurate status assessment and facilitating real-time, executive-level decision making between our company and industrial infrastructure clients.
This is an opportunity to get in early with a startup environment scaling up in a high-growth market. This leadership role requires demonstrable past success managing complex projects involving electrical power infrastructure design and construction, including renewable energy generation, storage, and distribution. Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in solar, wind, battery storage, and/or broader electrical power infrastructure. Additional requirements include demonstrable executive-level engagement, strategic thinking, excellent verbal & written communication, multitasking, and people coaching/development skills.
You will facilitate cross-functional teams toward planning, leading, and executing multiple simultaneous large-scale project plans. These teams provide assessment, engineering, and overall implementation management toward renewable energy projects diligence and origination, techno-economic feasibility studies, energy infrastructure requirements analysis, systems designs, systems integration, interconnection, and support during project execution. These teams will additionally produce specifications and requirements for energy systems procurement, construction, project management, and quality control as well EMS software solutions and systems operations and maintenance.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a key point of contact serving decision-making executives with planning facilitation and status reporting across multiple simultaneous renewable energy infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate cross functionally with internal, client, and business partner resources representing technical, operational, sales, and management interests.
- Provide energy infrastructure experience to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Oversee the study, design, development, testing, and deployment of DERs, microgrids, and energy infrastructure systems.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, industry regulations, and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage multiple client projects underway simultaneously.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to influence innovation within the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth within the program management department.
Qualifications You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or qualifications
- Proven experience as a project or program manager or similar leadership role
- More than 5 years of experience in an electrical power or renewable energy infrastructure field
- Strong knowledge of energy infrastructure project progression and potential pitfalls
- Deep aptitude for and knowledge of energy technologies, including solar, wind, battery storage, fuel cell, fossil-fuel generators, microgrids, transmission & distribution, and energy management systems
- Proficient with project management software
- Proficient with Google Workspace suite and other business operations software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives

- Must be available to work during Pacific Time Zone work hours (remote work allowed, but hybrid, remote/in office is preferred)

Expected Compensation
- $120,000 - $175,000 or annual equivalent
- Participation in OurEnergy’s dynamic-equity-sharing program
