Caregiver Recruiter & Credentialing Specialist

About OurCare Health

OurCare Health is a locally-owned, mission-driven provider of in-home support services dedicated to helping seniors remain independent while giving their families peace of mind. We believe that outstanding care begins with outstanding caregivers — and we are committed to building lasting relationships between our care teams and the clients they serve. As we continue to grow throughout Florida and beyond, we are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Recruiter to help us attract and onboard the talent that makes our mission possible.

Position Summary

The Caregiver Recruiter & Credentialing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, hiring, and credentialing Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) for OurCare's Temple Terrace, FL office (Office Moving Downtown Tampa 7/1/26). This role is critical to maintaining a consistent pipeline of qualified, compassionate caregivers who reflect OurCare's values of respect, kindness, and human connection. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of high-volume recruiting experience — ideally in home care, healthcare, or a related field — and thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Source and attract qualified HHA and PCA candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, referral programs, and local partnerships.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications, availability, and cultural fit.
  • Maintain a continuous pipeline of active and passive candidates to meet ongoing staffing needs.
  • Partner with Regional Executives to align hiring efforts with operational needs and client placement timelines.
  • Represent OurCare at job fairs, community events, and career centers to promote the company as an employer of choice.

Credentialing & Compliance

  • Manage the end-to-end credentialing process for all new HHA and PCA hires, including background checks, reference verification, TB testing, and required certifications.
  • Ensure all caregiver files are complete, accurate, and compliant with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regulations and OurCare's internal standards.
  • Track credential expirations and proactively manage renewals to maintain compliance.
  • Liaise with training providers to coordinate required pre-employment and ongoing education.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and caregiver database.

Onboarding & Retention

  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation to ensure caregivers are fully prepared and aligned with OurCare's mission and standards of care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new caregivers during the onboarding period, fostering a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Collaborate with care coordinators to support caregiver satisfaction and early retention efforts.
  • Track key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, 90-day retention) and report regularly to leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in home care, healthcare staffing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing credentialing, compliance documentation, or onboarding in a regulated industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build genuine relationships with candidates and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations related to home health aide and PCA employment is a plus.

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting for Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) roles specifically.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a significant plus given the local candidate market.
  • Familiarity with scheduling or care coordination software used in home health settings.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Why OurCare?

  • Mission-driven culture that prioritizes human connection and community impact.
  • Collaborative, locally-managed team with strong leadership support.
  • Opportunity to make a direct difference in the quality of care seniors receive.
  • Rated among the top employers in the home health industry.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and a brief cover letter describing their recruiting experience and passion for the home care industry. We look forward to hearing from you!
