Position Summary
The Caregiver Recruiter & Credentialing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, hiring, and credentialing Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) for OurCare's Temple Terrace, FL office (Office Moving Downtown Tampa 7/1/26). This role is critical to maintaining a consistent pipeline of qualified, compassionate caregivers who reflect OurCare's values of respect, kindness, and human connection. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of high-volume recruiting experience — ideally in home care, healthcare, or a related field — and thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Source and attract qualified HHA and PCA candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, referral programs, and local partnerships.
- Conduct initial phone screens and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications, availability, and cultural fit.
- Maintain a continuous pipeline of active and passive candidates to meet ongoing staffing needs.
- Partner with Regional Executives to align hiring efforts with operational needs and client placement timelines.
- Represent OurCare at job fairs, community events, and career centers to promote the company as an employer of choice.
Credentialing & Compliance
- Manage the end-to-end credentialing process for all new HHA and PCA hires, including background checks, reference verification, TB testing, and required certifications.
- Ensure all caregiver files are complete, accurate, and compliant with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regulations and OurCare's internal standards.
- Track credential expirations and proactively manage renewals to maintain compliance.
- Liaise with training providers to coordinate required pre-employment and ongoing education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and caregiver database.
Onboarding & Retention
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation to ensure caregivers are fully prepared and aligned with OurCare's mission and standards of care.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new caregivers during the onboarding period, fostering a positive and welcoming experience.
- Collaborate with care coordinators to support caregiver satisfaction and early retention efforts.
- Track key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, 90-day retention) and report regularly to leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in home care, healthcare staffing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing credentialing, compliance documentation, or onboarding in a regulated industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build genuine relationships with candidates and colleagues.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations related to home health aide and PCA employment is a plus.
Preferred
- Experience recruiting for Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) roles specifically.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a significant plus given the local candidate market.
- Familiarity with scheduling or care coordination software used in home health settings.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
