Oura is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Retail Marketing, Americas to lead the regional strategy, execution, and optimization of Oura’s retail marketing programs across North America and Latin America. This leader will oversee go-to-market plans for major retailers, manage a substantial channel marketing budget, and guide a high-performing team of retail channel marketers and visual merchandisers.
The ideal candidate brings deep retail experience, a track record of building and scaling retail partnerships, and a passion for delivering best-in-class in-store and omnichannel brand experiences across diverse markets.
Preferred location is San Francisco or New York, remote candidates will be considered.
What you will do:
Regional Retail Channel Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute Oura’s long range retail brand and channel growth strategy across the Americas (U.S., Canada, and Latin America).
- Drive retail marketing initiatives that enhance brand awareness, product visibility, and sell-through across regional retail partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of retail channel marketers and visual merchandisers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Partner cross-functionally with Regional Sales, Global Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment on priorities, launches, and brand execution.
- Accountable for market expansion and partner category innovation (e.g., wellness tech zones, experiential retail formats, pop-up or store-in-store pilots).
Retail Launch & Partner Management
- Oversee go-to-market planning and execution for new retailer launches and product introductions within the Americas region.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key retailers including Best Buy, Target, Costco, Amazon, and leading regional chains.
- Collaborate with retailer marketing and merchandising teams to secure co-marketing opportunities, drive category growth, and optimize brand presence.
Budget Ownership & Performance Management
- Own and manage the Americas retail channel marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across markets and partners.
- Develop quarterly and annual marketing plans tied to clear performance KPIs and ROI targets, continuously optimizing investment based on performance and overall goals.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on retail marketing performance, identifying insights and optimization opportunities.
Retail Experience & Visual Merchandising Excellence
- Lead fixture and in-store display programs for all regional retail partners — from concept to installation — ensuring consistency, quality, and premium brand presentation.
- Oversee the creation and deployment of retail assets, POP materials, and in-store activations across diverse retail environments.
- Collaborate with Creative and Production teams to deliver high-impact, on-brand retail experiences.
Omnichannel Integration & Insights
- Drive integration across retail media networks (RMNs), retailer online channel, and in-store activations to create seamless omnichannel shopping journeys.
- Lead the creation of unique marketing programs with key strategic retail partners in US, CA, and LATAM.
- Partner with Global Brand and Digital Marketing teams to ensure integrated campaigns across online and offline channels.
- Leverage shopper data, retail insights, and market analytics to drive strategy and improve retail marketing effectiveness across the Americas.
Requirements
- 12 years of experience in retail, trade, or channel marketing, with 5 years in a leadership role focused on Americas.
- Proven success with a wide range of large retailers across many verticals – general merchandisers, online, specialty, and others.
- Strong background in driving success with existing partners, launching new retail channels and managing complex product launches
- Expertise in owning and managing large-scale marketing budgets, managing partner marketing negotiations and optimizing spend for measurable impact.
- Experience leading large scale fixture/display programs and visual merchandising for top-tier retailers – 3PL programs, training, maintenance programs, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, and continue to build teams as the business scales.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and project management skills.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
