Job description:
The Psychological Assessor will meet with Social Security claimants/Ohio residents seeking Social Security benefits to perform a one-time Mental Status Examination and create a Consultative Examination report to be submitted to the Social Security Administration. The successful candidate will use their clinical interviewing, psychological assessment, diagnostic ability, and written communication skills to excel in this position.
The Psychological Assessor is assisting deserving Ohio residents in their Social Security Disability determination process. This position is extremely rewarding without the added responsibility of ongoing treatment planning and management. Job Responsibilities:
§ Meet with Ohio residents = applying for Social Security Disability benefits
§ Perform Mental Status Evaluations/Clinical Interviews for the purpose of gathering and integrating data to formulate a DSM-5 diagnosis and provide professional perspective on the claimant’s functioning and ability to manage their own finances
§ Utilize ethical and culturally competent assessment approaches while assessing the claimant
§ Make diagnoses and draw professional conclusions within the scope of professional expertise
§ Perform relevant administrative responsibilities necessary for the ethical and responsible completion of the assessment process
§ Review available collateral documentation * Request additional collateral documentation needed to make a responsible and accurate assessment of mental status
§ Consider and integrate relevant collateral information in mental status evaluation
§ Consult with the DSM-5 to make the most accurate mental health diagnosis, within your scope of diagnosis
§ Creation of Mental Status Evaluation Consultative Report, documenting the data gathered, professional observations, professional conclusions, and DSM-5 mental health diagnoses
§ Timely submission of the Mental Status Evaluation Consultative Report
§ Provide claimants with a summary of findings and next steps in the process
§ Create a Mental Status Evaluation Consultative Report, and submit within the outlined time frame

Qualifications:
