Job Summary:
The position is responsible for providing logistics and postal support necessary to OSV and its subsidiaries operations. The incumbent reports to the Associate Manager of Postal and will assist as needed on various projects and duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- USPS preparation, presentation, and shipment routing for OSV
- Maintain USPS mailing reports and mailing supplies
- Stay current with USPS regulation and compliance
- OSV warehouse product receiving
- LTL and parcel shipments – inbound and outbound
- Backup for internal department responsibilities
- Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement
- Work with internal and external customers to ensure adherence to product in-home dates
Requirements:
Experience:
- Previous experience with logistics & postal is preferred.
- Business knowledge & skills: excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to analyze, communicate and make recommendations for process improvements and effective customer satisfaction in all shipments.
- Work in a fast paced, dynamic, and ever-changing environment.
- Analyzing, trending, and charting
Education:
- Associated Degree in related field preferred
- High School Diploma
Skills and Abilities:
- Good PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Records retention
Working Environment:
- Candidate will work in an office and plant environment
- Must be able to lift approximately 40 pounds frequently
- Job requirements also include standing, walking, and sitting
- Candidate will be exposed to dust, dirt, noise and water while out in the plant
- Occasional travel may be required
