CHILD CARE ASSISTANT TEACHER
We are currently looking for an Child Care Assistant Teacher for our Young Toddler room (1 year olds) or our Older Toddler room (2 year olds). Our school is located in Birmingham,MI. We are open Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm. Shifts would be within these parameters, but you MUST be available until 5:30pm.
As a Child Care Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher to implement age-appropriate lesson plans and employing positive-redirection techniques. You will be a vital part of our team delivering a solid foundation for the future success of the children in our care, and play an integral part in their social, emotional and academic development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Teacher will assist the Lead Teacher to implement lesson plans, including (pre-written) Jesus Time lessons and assist in classroom activities and maintaining classroom routines and schedules. Other duties include:
- Provide care, nurture, and assess children in developmentally appropriate positive interactions
- Help with the supervision and management of daily class functions of a group of children to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the children
- Work with classroom staff
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment
- Communicate and build connections with families, staff, and the administrative team
- Interact professionally with families, staff, and the administrative team
- Maintain staff to student ratios at all times in your classroom or other classrooms if needed
- Complete minimum 16 clock training hours per year (all can be completed online and on demand)
Pay is based on candidate's years of experience working in a licensed daycare and/or education in child development/early childhood.
