Our Savior Lutheran School is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Office Administrator to support the daily operations of our small Christian school. As a welcoming presence in our front office, this person will help families, support teachers and school leadership, and keep important information and tasks organized.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a school environment, communicates with kindness and professionalism, and can balance everyday responsibilities with the occasional unexpected need. In our small school, teamwork, flexibility, and a heart for serving others make a meaningful difference!
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist our school community: Greet students, families, and visitors; answer phone calls and emails; and help direct questions to the appropriate staff member.
- Support daily office operations: Organize paperwork, prepare forms and correspondence, manage office supplies, and assist with school calendars and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records: Assist with attendance, enrollment paperwork, student files, and other administrative records while protecting confidential information.
- Help families stay informed: Support school communications, distribute reminders, and follow up on missing forms or requested information.
- Work collaboratively with school staff: Provide administrative support to the principal, teachers, and bookkeeper, including organizing and routing payment-related paperwork.
- Support a safe and welcoming campus: Follow school procedures for visitor check-in, student sign-in and sign-out, and referring student or family concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous office or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and a patient, welcoming manner.
- Comfort using email, word-processing programs, and spreadsheets, with a willingness to learn school management software.
- Dependability, discretion, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- A willingness to support the Christian mission and values of Our Savior Lutheran School.
Experience in a school, childcare setting, or other family-centered organization is a plus.
