Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. Individual is responsible for the administrative initiation, coordination, and daily continuity of care for clients referred to the PHC program. The individual will coordinate staff scheduling, monitor compliance with state regulations and MCO policies, and act as central communication between field attendants, case managers, and clients.
PHC Clerk must execute administrative tasks with extreme accuracy to ensure state and federal compliance. Individual must have attention to detail for critical monitoring for service authorization limits and avoiding unbillable attendant hours. Must have multitasking capabilities with the ability to answer high-volume phone lines while accurately imputing data. Exceptional customer service skills when communicating with elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, and diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Promotes the philosophy, mission and administrative policies of the Agency to ensure quality of client services.
- Supervises and provides directions to all segments of staff, to ensure quality and continuity of services.
- Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
- Promotes compliance of policies and procedures through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.
- Monitors systems and identifies problem areas to Administrator/Alternate Administrator.
- Directs and coordinates agency attendant services and assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered.
- Participates in activities relevant to services furnished including development and assignment of agency personnel.
- Assures a client’s Individualized Service Plan is executed as written.
- Monitor MCO/DADS/TMHP Authorizations to ensure that a current authorization exists prior to providing services.
- Answers calls timely.
- Schedules any new hires for existing clients when replacements are needed.
- Enters all updated information/changes to service plans timely within a 24-hour period.
- Communicate with payor(s) to ensure all documentation requirements are met.
Experience
- Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred, with experience/education in the healthcare field pertaining to PHC program.
- Minimum of two years’ experience at administrative or middle management (supervisory) level and minimum one year experience in in a Health and Human Services (HHS) Community Care program, PHC preferred.
- Knowledge of Medius software is highly preferred.
- Prior knowledge of PHC, Community Attendant Services, (CAS), or Medicaid long-term care programs is a major asset.
