What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher/Floater position at Our Redeemer Child Care?
Our Redeemer Lutheran Child Care is looking for a float teacher for our Two's and Infant rooms Wednesday-Friday beginning March 2026!
Assistant teachers must be 18 years of age and have, at minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in the child care field is preferred, but not required. Assistant teachers are responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher, maintaining child and classroom safety, general classroom clean up, and other duties as decided by the Lead Teacher or otherwise outlined in our Employee Handbook.
In the absence of the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher will be responsible for the Lead Teacher's role.
Employees must obtain a criminal background check and fingerprint on the day of hire to more adequately safeguard the children and staff. The Administration will use the results of the Department of Justice criminal background check procedure to ensure ORLCC employs people who meet state employment standards. All information and records obtained from such inquiries are to be considered confidential and shall not be released or disseminated to those not directly involved in evaluating the applicant’s qualifications.
All employees will receive training on Infant/Child CPR, Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting, and Major Trauma Training upon hire or immediately thereafter.
All employees of Our Redeemer Lutheran Child Care are mandated reporters and required to report any signs of abuse or neglect directly to Walworth County Child Protective Services.
All employees must attend/volunteer at a minimum of 50% of fundraising events and family inclusion nights.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Child Care will be members of The Registry.
Experience preferred.
