This is a full-time on-site role based in Orlando, FL for a Youth Wellness & Safety Coordinator Intern. In this position, you will assist with designing and implementing safety and wellness programs for youth, conducting trainings on safety practices, and promoting a culture of health and safety within the community. Responsibilities include performing safety assessments, facilitating occupational health initiatives, supporting accident investigations, and promoting environmental health and safety standards. You will collaborate with teams to monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for program participants.
- Proficiency in Health & Safety and general Occupational Health principles
- Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and practices
- Experience in developing and delivering Safety Training programs
- Ability to conduct thorough Accident Investigations and implement effective solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse youth groups
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to promoting safety and wellness
- Passion for community empowerment and youth development
- Previous experience in youth-focused safety or wellness programs is a plus
- Pursuing or completed education in public health, safety management, social work
