Our Place on 17 is looking for friendly, dependable and proactive individuals to join our team as Event Coordinator Assistants.
The Event Coordinator Assistant works alongside the Event Venue Coordinator to help keep weddings, corporate events and social gatherings running smoothly from the venue side.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in hospitality, weddings, event management or venue operations who wants to gain real-world experience while working in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Event Venue Coordinator throughout events
- Help welcome and direct vendors upon arrival
- Assist with vendor load-in and venue access
- Help prepare and inspect guest-facing areas
- Monitor event spaces throughout events
- Keep venue spaces clean, organized and event-ready
- Communicate client, vendor or venue needs to the Venue Coordinator
- Assist with event transitions as needed
- Help monitor restrooms and common areas
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Support the venue team during vendor load-out and event breakdown
- Step in wherever needed to help events run smoothly
- Follow venue policies and instructions provided by the Event Venue Coordinator and management

Experience
Previous event or hospitality experience is helpful but not required. We're happy to train candidates who have the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
This position could also be a great fit for a college student studying hospitality, event management, tourism, business or a related field.
Schedule
This is a part-time, event-based position. Hours will vary depending on the venue's event calendar, with most shifts occurring on evenings and weekends.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 12.0 per week
