About Our Ode To You
Our Ode To You (OOTY) is a nonprofit founded by teens that brings live music, art, and creative programming into memory care communities serving older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Simply put, we host art/music/creative workshops at memory care facilities. Our base session: 45 mins of art w/music performance, and transition into an interactive 45 min music session. SUPPLIES ARE PAID FOR.

We are currently seeking students aged 13-21 who are interested in combining their creative passions with hands-on work alongside a clinical memory care population.

Who This Role Is For
This opportunity may be especially meaningful for students who are:
- Musicians, dancers, actors, visual artists, writers, or creatives of any kind
- Health sciences or pre-health students interested in aging, dementia, or patient-centered care/clinical hours
- Law or policy students interested in health equity, disability rights, or community-based advocacy
- Students studying nonprofits, public service, health policy, or social impact
- Anyone interested in creative programming, community engagement, and interdisciplinary work
No prior clinical experience is required. We aren’t looking at resumes.
What You’ll Do
- Design and participate in 90 minute arts-based workshops for memory care residents, including live music, visual art activities, and interactive creative sessions
- Engage directly with older adults living with dementia in a respectful way
- Learn how creative programming operates within regulated clinical and care environments
- Support a growing nonprofit’s programming, outreach, and community partnerships (role can be tailored to your interests)

Time Commitment
