Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves planning age-appropriate activities, supervising children, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Experience in early childhood education and classroom management is essential to ensure a positive learning atmosphere that supports each child's individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning and growth
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behavior
- Assist with potty training and diapering as needed
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational experience
- Use positive behavior management techniques to guide children's social interactions
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activities
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle multiple children simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young learners
- Ability to pass background checks as required by licensing regulations
- Flexibility, patience, and a caring attitude toward children of diverse backgrounds
