Bonus: Up to $500 after 60 days
- $250 after the first 30 days
- $250 after the next 30 days
Job Description
Our Little Sunshine Home Childcare is seeking a dependable, professional, and responsible Childcare Assistant. The ideal candidate must be able to follow routines, maintain structure, and provide a safe environment for children at all times.
This role is hands-on and requires someone who is focused, patient, organized, and able to manage multiple children in a home childcare setting.
Responsibilities
Daily Duties (12 PM–5 PM):
- Assist children in transitioning to nap time calmly and consistently
- Prepare and serve daily snacks
- Provide homework support for school-age children
- Maintain cleanliness of the childcare space
- Follow all safety and supervision guidelines
- Support with end-of-day routines and parent pick-up
Duties on 9:30 AM–5 PM Days:
Assist with morning learning activities and structured play
- Bathroom assistance and routine hygiene checks
- Prepare or supervise lunch
- Supervise outdoor play following safety rules
- Support planned educational and developmental activities
- Help maintain daily schedules and documentation as required
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED – REQUIRED
- Must pass a background check
- At least 18 years old
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain structure
- Must be able to communicate clearly with staff and parents
- Must be able to work consistently Monday–Friday
- Experience with children preferred but not required
- Must maintain professionalism at all times.
