What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Driver position at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School?
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Follow established routes and schedules
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage passenger behavior in a professional manner
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
We will pay for training.
Please note that this position requires the ability to write reports and communicate effectively with passengers and supervisors.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- School bus driving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- CDL (Preferred)
