Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site French Teacher position located in Clarksville, IN. As part of the World Language Department, the French Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons for students, assessing and monitoring student progress, and contributing to curriculum development. Daily responsibilities also include providing individualized support, fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues and administration to uphold the school's educational mission.
Additionally, all teachers will actively facilitate faith formation which includes praying with and for students, teaching and celebrating Catholic traditions, and modeling a Christ-centered life.
Specifications/Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education, a Master's in Education or the equivalent in another field AND an elementary or secondary license from the State of Indiana OR
- An emergency teaching license with eligibility and intent to complete coursework
- "Safe Parish" Child Protection Training (completed upon hire)
- Criminal background check
- DCS Check
- Ongoing professional development and faith formation
- Follows Archdiocese and local protocols, policies, rules, and regulations including those published in the faculty/staff handbook and student/family handbook
- Complies with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct
- Maintains and safeguards confidential information
