Role Description This full-time, on-site First Grade Teacher role is located in Southampton, PA. The teacher will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons that integrate faith, literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies while aligning with school and diocesan standards. Daily responsibilities include creating a positive classroom environment, managing behavior in a respectful and consistent manner, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and school leadership. Additional duties include collaborating with colleagues, participating in school liturgies and events, and contributing to the spiritual and academic growth of students in a Catholic school setting.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Teaching, Elementary Education, and Education, with demonstrated success in early childhood or primary grades.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including planning standards-based lessons and creating engaging instructional materials.
- Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Commitment to supporting and modeling Catholic and Gospel values in a classroom setting, with respect for all students and families.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; appropriate teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Ability to use classroom technology and educational tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Strong classroom management, organization, and time-management skills, with a focus on creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience in a Catholic or faith-based school environment is beneficial but not required
