Role Description
Starting pay for this position is $18.50/hr. Total care with full physical assistance — requiring complete hands-on support for all activities of daily living, mobility (including transfers via Hoyer lift), ambulation, and medical/nutritional needs such as tube feeding.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Personal Care Attendant based in St Louis, MO. Daily responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. The role also involves meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and providing companionship to clients to support their overall well-being. Additionally, the Personal Care Attendant will coordinate with healthcare professionals to follow care plans.
Qualifications
- Experience in personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills, active listening, and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Basic knowledge of household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry activities.
- Demonstrated ability to follow personalized care plans and provide medication reminders.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in caregiving or home health services is a plus.
- CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred.
