Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and a productive learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the overall well-being of the students
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns or achievements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students
- Familiarity with special education techniques and accommodations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with students who have special needs or disabilities
- One-on-one instruction experience
- Knowledge of physical education activities for young children
