Direct Care Staff

Our House is a residential training center that provides skills training for at-risk teenage boys. We work with our residents to become happy, healthy, and productive individuals, focusing on personalized development plans for future success. As a Direct Care Staff member you will be providing direct supervision of our trainees. Qualifications and Requirements:- At least 21 years of age- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or above preferred- Residential non-DDA childcare training- MANDT or other Behaviorial Management Training- Reliable transportation to and from work- Certified Medication Technician (CMT) desired- RCYCP license OR willingness to become licensed upon hire- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement- Background check, physical exam, and TB testing- Weekly availability that includes AM, PM and Overnight shiftsDuties and Responsibilities- Provide continuous supervision and coverage of residents as outlined in the Trainee Handbook- Perform weekly room checks for all residents- Complete bi-hourly rounds and record notable resident conduct through the daily shift log and resident progress reports- Provide off-site transportation for residents as needed- Assist residents with daily care functions and behavior management- Plan and implement individual and group activities in conjunction with resident improvement plans- Report any vehicle maintenance or needed repairs- Dispense medications and perform drug testing as directed (CMT license only)- Maintain safety and security of staff office and all other spaces at all times- Attend all staff meetings
