Position Summary

The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for providing direct care services and aiding with case management. Duties include performing administrative, case management, and direct care tasks. The Assistant Coordinator is a representative of Our House Inc. and is expected to professionally represent the organization’s mission and purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Meet all the responsibilities of the Skills and Activity Providers; work with Persons Receiving Services (PRS) in providing direct care, as needed.
  • Assist with PRS programming to ensure it is meeting specific program criteria.
  • Aid in maintaining guidelines by which S&A Providers, PRS, and their caregivers can follow in order to give and receive the best services and growth opportunities possible.
  • Attend, contribute, and participate in meetings as necessary to advance the agency and PRS’ potential and opportunity.
  • Participate in disseminating information up and down the chain of command; demonstrate clear communication both written and orally.
  • Review SP goals, incident reports, create and update goals, ISSP’s, BISSP’s, and other paperwork.
  • Assist in maintaining medication administration records and review regularly to ensure administration meets requirements.
  • Assist with day program billing by approving daily agency reports according to accurate days in service with correct hours and funding source and running reports.
  • Maintain the productivity and progress of daily activities through implementation, direction, and/ or assistance in goal/ activity setting and accomplishment.
  • Ensure daily activities of open, closing, cleaning, etc. are completed and assist as necessary.
  • Act as advocate for individuals in services.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with outside agencies and professionals in the field.
  • Represent organization at agency fairs and other venues in a professional manner.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, emails, filing, shredding, answering phones, supplies inventory ordering and receiving, as necessary.
  • Attend various agency meetings and events as needed.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must take drug screen and pass.
  • Must be willing to take and pass background checks.
  • Must be in good physical, mental and emotional health.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs; if required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license a good driving record.
  • Must have a vehicle in good working order with insurance and registration.
  • Must have a general knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have Medication Administration training or be willing to get it.
  • Must have current CPR and first-aid certification.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with or advocating for individuals with a variety of disabilities, including seizure disorders, individuals with behavioral needs, or non-verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree within the human service field desired; or equivalent experience.
  • Able to follow instruction and complete assigned tasks within a timely manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team.
  • Must be able to create and maintain a safe and effective environment, using best judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management philosophies and practices.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems and communicate solutions through collaboration and application of strategic management.
  • Superior critical problem-solving skills and decision-making skills.

Full-Time Hourly: Current Hourly Rate ($18.50-$19.50)
