Licensed Electrician or Plumber (Field Lead / Site Supervisor)

Our House Design & Construction is a well-established, family-owned design-build firm based in Southbury, CT. We specialize in high-end residential construction, renovations, and custom homes. Our work blends thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and a seamless client experience—from concept through completion.

We are growing and looking for a licensed electrician or licensed plumber who is ready to take on a leadership role in the field, combining hands-on trade work with jobsite supervision.

This is a dual-role position where you will:

• Perform work within your licensed trade (electrical or plumbing)
• Act as a field lead / site supervisor, managing daily jobsite operations

You will play a key role on-site, ensuring projects run efficiently, professionally, and to the high standards our clients expect.

• Perform and oversee all work within your licensed trade
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with CT codes
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real time

• Oversee daily site operations and subcontractor coordination
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
• Ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and schedules
• Direct deliveries and manage material staging

• Communicate with clients, project managers, and office team
• Take daily jobsite photos and upload to project management software
• Maintain daily logs and provide real-time project updates

• Use BusyBusy for time tracking and crew management
• Interface with Ressio project management software
• Utilize Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar) for communication
• Assist with estimating using Handoff when needed
• Perform material takeoffs and verify quantities
• Receive deliveries, inspect materials, and manage inventory on-site

• Active CT Electrical or Plumbing License (Required)
• Strong experience in residential construction (high-end preferred)
• Ability to lead a jobsite while actively working in your trade
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using apps/software daily
• Experience with takeoffs, material coordination, and site logistics
• Honest, reliable, and accountable with strong work ethic
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Interest or experience in high-end, design-driven systems, including:
• Decorative and accent lighting (electricians)
• Steam showers, thermostatic valves, and digital plumbing systems (plumbers)
• Willingness to learn and grow within evolving residential design trends

• $90,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience and license level)
• Performance bonuses available
