Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
- Monitor and document patient care activities, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility.
- Engage clients in recreational activities and social interactions to promote their emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Support clients in achieving their personal goals and fostering independence.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in home health settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of direct support practices and patient monitoring techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
