We are hoping to offer a fun and challenging opportunity for the right Pastry Chef/Baker for a Part-Time position. This position will have a fair amount of freedom to explore and develop new recipes/bakes.
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation and baking, with a keen eye for detail and creativity. This role involves producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, showcasing artistic flair and attention to detail.
- Assist in food production for catering events, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new pastry recipes and menu items that align with customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients during catering events or special orders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker or in a similar role within a kitchen environment.
- Strong skills in cake decorating and baking techniques.
- Knowledge of food production processes and catering operations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
