Atidaynu Our Future School is seeking a warm, patient, and dedicated educator or teacher assistant with knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) to support students with special needs in a collaborative and highly supportive educational environment.
We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate using ASL and help facilitate communication, learning, and social development for students who benefit from sign language support.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with students in a special education classroom setting
- Communicate with students using American Sign Language (ASL)
- Support academic, behavioral, social, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and BCBAs
- Assist with classroom instruction and daily routines
- Help create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge and ability to communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience in special education, ABA, or related fields preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, caring, and professional demeanor
